Boyout “Homes” - Theatre Set Design

“Boyout” - Arabic for homes - frames this stage design as an exploration of memory, place, and collective identity. The set is composed of modular boxes in varying sizes, allowing the actors to reconfigure the environment throughout the performance. This shifting landscape mirrors the fluidity of the script and the emotional states within it. Each unit contains a small candle, introducing a warm, intimate glow that transforms the stage into a constellation of domestic fragments. Through light, scale, and repetition, the set becomes both a physical and symbolic structure - an adaptable architecture that supports narrative, movement, and atmosphere.
